I wish I had a photo to add but sadly all images of Paul are in my head...though this grade school shot of him has added a 4th dimension to those memories!
Paul's wry and sometimes astringent friendship was very important to me when we worked together for a few years duirng a time of transition at Sesame. It was a turbulent time and difficult to be frank with people about all the craziness happening – not so with Paul! I could always find someone to cut through the BS just by stepping over to his desk.
But my very fondest recollection is of one of our corporate parties. After awhile I couldn't take much more of the forced jollity and looked for a corner to hide in. I saw Paul, who convinced me to play hooky after making ourselves highly visible for a few minutes. We snuck out and went bowling instead. No one realized that we'd skipped all the speeches and glad-handing and we certainly had a MUCH better time than anyone else seemed to. Paul was lighthearted but never lost his edge, keeping me cracking up all evening. Thanks, Paul, for that memory! - Betsy
